Safety

Rules built into the software, not just the instructions

Atom sends real email for real businesses, so the rules that protect your name and the people you contact live in the code that sends every email. A clever reply or a mistaken instruction cannot talk its way past them.

Honest about who is writing

  • Never pretends to be human

Asked directly, Atom says it is an AI assistant writing for a named person at your company, and offers to put them in touch.
  • Never an invented person

Every mailbox belongs to a real, named person at your company who has agreed to Atom writing for them.

What Atom will never say

  • Prices and terms

No prices, discounts, contract terms, scope or delivery dates. These always come to you.
  • Unapproved claims

Nothing that is not in the playbook you approved, and nothing on your list of things it must never say.
  • A final check on every email

Before anything leaves, a check looks for prices, banned phrases, broken links and missing details. A failed email is held for you, never sent.

Respect for the people you contact

  • One-click unsubscribe

In the email header and as a visible link. It works instantly, needs no sign-in, and is permanent.
  • A reply stops everything

Any reply stops that person’s follow-ups at once. After an objection, at most two further follow-ups, then Atom stops.
  • Complaints protect everyone

If someone marks an email as spam for any Atom customer, no Atom customer can email them again.
  • Who Atom will not contact

Your existing customers, open deals and anyone your CRM marks do not contact. Sole traders, whom UK rules treat as individuals, are excluded.
  • Real identity in every email

The sender’s real name, your company name and your postal address, every time.
  • Plain emails

No tracking pixels, no images and as few links as possible. Atom measures replies, not opens.

Limits that protect your reputation

  • Your main domain is never used

Cold email only leaves from separate sending domains, so your everyday email stays safe if one is ever affected.
  • Daily limits

Low daily caps for each mailbox and for your account, with lower caps while mailboxes warm up and while you are new.
  • Automatic pauses

Sending pauses by itself if bounces or spam complaints rise above safe levels, or if a connected account stops working.

You stay in control

  • Pause all sending

One click stops every email, including ones already queued. Nothing restarts until a person says so.
  • Risky replies come to you

Complaints, legal language, threats, data requests, existing customers and anything sensitive are never answered automatically.
  • A full record

Everything Atom does is logged: what it saw, what it decided, what it sent, and which rule or model made the call.

Your data

  • Kept apart

Each customer’s data is separated by the database itself, not just by the application. One customer can never see another’s prospects.
  • Encrypted keys

Sign-in tokens and keys for your connected accounts are encrypted separately for each customer and never written to logs.
  • UK hosting

Atom is hosted in the UK by default. You are the controller of your prospect data; Damteq processes it for you under a data processing agreement.

Atom is being built to UK PECR and UK GDPR, starting with UK business to business email only. Our approach will be reviewed by a UK data protection solicitor before launch.
