Common questions
Short answers to the questions people ask most.
Will Atom pretend to be a person?
No. If anyone asks whether they are talking to a person, Atom never says it is human. Questions like that come to you.
What happens when someone unsubscribes?
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Using it, or replying to ask to be removed, stops all contact from your company at once and for good.
What if someone replies angrily or complains?
Atom stops writing to them immediately and permanently. A complaint is also shared with every company on Atom, so no one using Atom emails that person again.
Can Atom email my existing customers by mistake?
Not if your CRM is connected. Customers, open deals and people marked do not contact are checked just before every email. See Connecting Pipedrive.
How do I stop everything right now?
Press Pause all sending at the top of any screen. See Pausing all sending.
Is cold emailing businesses legal in the UK?
Emailing people at limited companies about relevant business services is allowed, as long as every email identifies who sent it, gives a postal address and makes it easy to opt out. Atom does all three on every email. Sole traders and personal addresses are treated differently, so Atom hands those to you. This is general information, not legal advice.
Where does prospect data come from?
From public business sources such as Companies House and your company's contact data provider. Anyone can ask where their data came from, for a copy or for deletion, and a person handles every request.
Who can see my data?
Only people in your company. Each company's data is kept separate in the database, and nobody at another company can see it.
Can Damteq see inside my account?
Only if an owner allows it. On Controls, Allow support access for 7 days lets Damteq support see your settings, mailbox health and Atom's decisions, read only and never the text of emails. Each time they look, they must give a reason, and it is recorded. Turn it off at any time.
