Needs you

Replies and emails Atom hands to a person, and what to do with them.

Some things are never Atom's to decide. These go to Needs you, with the reason in plain words and, where it helps, a suggested reply.

What always comes to you

  • Questions about price, discounts, contracts, scope or delivery dates.
  • Complaints, legal language, threats, and requests about personal data.
  • Anyone who is an existing customer, has an open deal or is marked do not contact.
  • Anything personal or sensitive, such as illness or bereavement.
  • Any reply Atom is not sure it has understood.
  • Any email held by the checks before sending. See Why was an email held?

Answering from Needs you

When the item is a reply, you see the conversation and, where it is safe, Atom's suggested answer. Edit it and press Send reply. It still goes through every check, so it cannot mention prices or dates: for those, reply from your own email and choose Hand back to me.

Hand back to me

Choose Hand back to me when you will deal with it yourself. The item closes, and if it was a held email, Atom will never send it.

When Atom hands a reply to you, it has already stopped that person's automated emails. Nothing else goes to them until you decide.

Check-ins and colleagues

  • "Not now" replies: on the date the prospect gave (or after the wait in Settings), Atom drafts a short check-in and puts it here for you to approve or edit. It is never sent without you. If they have written again since, no check-in is drafted.
  • Someone named a colleague: if they gave an email address at their own company and Atom has researched that company as a fit, the colleague is added to Prospects and their emails start, with every usual check. Anyone at another company, or a company that needs a look, comes here first.
