Who emails are sent as

A real person in your team, with their agreement, or a named AI assistant that a team member is responsible for.

Atom never sends as an invented person. Each mailbox sends either as someone in your team who has agreed to it, or as an AI assistant that says it is one on every email.

Choosing the sender

  1. An owner opens Senders and, for each of Atom's mailboxes, chooses A team member or An AI assistant.
  2. For a team member, choose who. For an AI assistant, choose its name (Atom, Tom or a name you type) and the team member responsible for it.
  3. Nothing is sent from that mailbox yet. It waits for that person to agree.

A mailbox that is not linked to anyone sends nothing at all.

Sending as an AI assistant

Emails from an AI assistant show its name followed by "(AI assistant)", for example "Tom (AI assistant)". Every email also ends with a line saying it is an AI assistant working for your company, and naming the person responsible for it.

If a prospect asks whether they are talking to a person, Atom answers honestly that it is an AI assistant, and offers to put them in touch with someone at your company. This applies whichever way the mailbox sends.

Renaming the assistant, or choosing a different person to be responsible, needs that person to agree again.

Agreeing, and your signature

The person chosen opens Your account and finds Emails sent in your name. There they:

  • add their job title and, if they like, a phone number and one link to the company website (for an AI assistant, only the link),
  • tick the box to agree.

Only they can do this. An owner cannot agree for someone else or change their signature.

Emails in a person's name end with their name, job title, your company name, their phone and link if given, your postal address and an unsubscribe link.

Changing your mind

Untick the box and save. Nothing more is sent, and anything waiting is held until someone agrees.

If someone leaves your team, Atom stops sending from their mailboxes straight away, including any AI assistant they were responsible for. Choose someone else on Senders.
