Going live and warm-up
Why Atom starts slowly, and what happens in the first weeks.
New sending mailboxes have no reputation yet. If they sent hundreds of emails on day one, mail providers would treat them as spam. So Atom warms them up over two to three weeks, sending a few emails a day at first and more as the mailboxes earn trust.
Limits that always apply
- Each mailbox has a daily limit, and so does your company. New companies start lower.
- Emails only go out in your working hours. Set them on the Controls page.
- If more than 3% of a mailbox's emails bounce in a day, that mailbox pauses itself and tells you. It waits until the mailbox has sent at least 20 that day, so one bounce cannot pause a quiet mailbox; the address that bounced is never emailed again either way.
- If more than 0.1% of people mark your emails as spam over 30 days, Atom pauses all sending for your company and Damteq looks into it with you before anything is sent again. This applies once you have sent at least 100 emails in that time; anyone who complains is never emailed again, by any company on Atom.
- If Atom can no longer sign in to your mailbox or CRM, it pauses and asks you to reconnect in Needs you. Reconnecting starts things again by itself.
Every reply waits for you at first
Until your account is ready for Atom to reply by itself, every reply Atom drafts waits for your approval in Conversations. Each one you send without changes counts towards Atom earning autonomy for that kind of reply. See Earned autonomy and shadow mode.
